(GSM) – Bayern München have resumed training as they prepare to defend their Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal titles for the 2010-11 campaign.

Bayern boss Louis van Gaal, who has summoned his squad for phase one of pre-season training, with only 10 members of first-team squad were present in Munich for the first fortnight of training before a 10-day break.

And the Dutch coach will expect the remainder of his squad to report for pre-season training from July 15, a month before the 2010/11 season kicks-off.

Andreas Ottl and Jose Ernesto Sosa were part of the group of players congregated for training today with Anatoli Tymoschuk, Daniel van Buyten, Ivica Olic and Hamit Altintop also present.

Van Gaal also invited the club’s reserve team to train together with the professionals for the first two weeks until those players currently in action at the World Cup return from South Africa.

“It is not a simple situation for a coach, but I and my coaching team will make the most out of it,” said the Dutch coach on his club’s website.
