Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes will have to make do without the services of Arjen Robben in this weekend’s Bundesliga match against Nuremberg.
The winger picked up a minor muscle tear in the international friendly between Netherlands and Germany on Wednesday – after only recently returning to action after a back problem – and will sit out at least the next two games.
“He will not be available for tomorrow’s game, and won’t feature against Valencia (in the Champions League) either,” Heynckes the club’s official website.
It is not yet exactly known how long Robben will be sidelined due to the knock, but Bayern are hopeful he will be back in time for next week’s home match versus Hannover.
The Dutchman has made only five Bundesliga appearances so far this term due to his ongoing injury worries.
