Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are locked in the battle for Freiburg defender Matthias Ginter, according to Sport Bild.
The 19-year-old has been on the radar of the two clubs for a while now, and his suitors finally look ready to step up their interest.
Ginter has confirmed to Sport Bild that he is aware that both clubs are in talks with Freiburg over a possible summer move.
The youngster is determined to help Freiburg avoid the drop and will only be moving clubs in the summer transfer window.
Despite his fragile age, Ginter has already made 53 Bundesliga appearances and scored a total of 2 goals.
He is also an important member of Germany Under-21 side and is predicted a bright future in the game.
As things stand now, Ginter is almost certainly set to leave Freiburg in the summer, and it only remains to choose between Alianz Arena and Signal-Iduna Park.
