Italian TV station Mediaset has learned that Bayern Munich are closing in on Dinamo Zagreb starlet Alen Halilovic.
The 17-year-old, who is already a full Croatia international, has long ago caught the eye of top European clubs and he was rumoured to be on the verge of joining Tottenham.
However, Mediaset understands that Bayern Munich are looking to snatch the talented midfielder from under the Spurs’ noses.
The Bavarians are convinced Halilovic has what it takes to become a world-class player and they are keen to lure him to Alianz Arena.
Bayern clearly face a stiff competition for the player’s signature, but that is unlikely to prove too big of a problem.
Alen Halilovic is a classy midfielder who has so far made 26 league appearances for Dinamo Zagreb, while featuring in eight European matches.
His suitors Bayern Munich again lead the chase in German Bundesliga and are priced at 1/5 to defend the league trophy.
