Bayern chief insists star players will not be sold

Bayern Munich sporting director Christian Nerlinger is adamant the club don’t need to sell their key players.

The Bavarians spent piles of cash on new players last summer, but Nerlinger insists that the financial situation is, nonetheless, excellent.

“Our economic foundation is so fantastic that we have no need to sell players,” Nerlinger was quoted as saying in Kicker.

“We need to be constantly successful. Bayern cannot afford to lag behind after every major tournament.

”We need to increase quality here every season and be well prepared now that we are coming to Euros.”
