German newspaper Sport Bild understands that Bayern Munich are on the verge of signing Eintracht Frankfurt full-back Sebastian Rode.
The Bavarians are looking to sign a new holding defender as Anatoliy Tymoshchuk is set to leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the current campaign.
According to Sport Bild, Bayern are close to reaching an agreement with Eintracht’s Sebastian Rode.
The talented footballer has a contract until June 2014 and he is rumoured to have already agreed a switch to Munich.
It remains to be seen whether he will be joining the Bavarians in the next transfer window or when his Eintracht deal expires in a year’s time.
Sebastian Rode, 22, began his career at Kickers Offenbach, but it was at Eintracht that he made a name for himself. The talented footballer made a total of 73 league appearances for the club and scored 4 goals in the process.
