Bayern Munich have confirmed interest in Manchester City striker John Guidetti as well as revealed they were also tracking Montpellier forward Olivier Giroud.
The Swedish striker, who is currently on loan at Feyenoord, has been attracting a lot of interest from abroad and he was recently linked with a move to Alianz Arena.
Bayern Munich Scandinavian scout Bjorn Andersson has moved to confirm reports that the Bavarians are keeping tabs on the 19-year-old.
“We are looking at him and a striker at Montpellier, (Olivier) Giroud, very closely,” Bayern’s youth coach and scout Bjorn Andersson told De Telegraaf.
Sweden Under-21 international has exploded this season, scoring 17 goals in just 15 Eredivisie games, bagging no less than three hat-tricks in last four games.
Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is likely to bring the player back to Etihad at the end of the season, but the Citizens could decide to cash in on the youngster as he would find his first team chances severely limited in England.
Olivier Giroud, on the other hand, is currently Ligue 1 top goalscorer with 16 goals in 22 games and he is widely tipped to leave MHSC for greener pastures at the end of the season.
