Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have all but confirmed interest in Real Madrid starlet Martin Odegaard.
The Bavarians were one of a number of sides that attempted to recruit the Norwegian wonderkid while he was at Stromsgodset, but it was los Blancos that eventually won the chase.
However, with Odegaard yet to be given a chance to shine for Real Madrid, some of the suitors have reignited their interest in his services.
Bayern Munich appear ready to launch a fresh assault on the 17-year-old as sporting director Matthias Sammer confirmed the Bavarians were in contact with the youngster.
“Of course we’re in contact, but that’s not up for debate,” he told Sky Sport Deutschland.
“His decision to sign for Madrid must be respected. He’s a great player, but we haven’t made any attempt to sign him.”
Martin Odegaard has so far made just one La Liga appearance for los Blancos, while featuring in 11 league games for Real Madrid B.
The attacking midfielder already has nine Norway caps to his name, but he appears to have lost his place in the side after moving to Real Madrid.
