Bayern Munich are looking to sign a new goalkeeper as a replacement for Manuel Neuer, after the Germany No.1 broke his leg while skiing on holiday after the World Cup. There are several options for the Bavarians to potentially pursue, according to multiple reports.
One of those would be to cut short the loan of Alexander Nubel, who has been sent to AS Monaco on a temporary basis, but such a move would require an agreement with the Ligue 1 side. Other alternatives include Morocco’s World Cup hero, Sevilla’s Yassine Bounou “Bono”, and Croatia’s Dominik Livakovic, currently playing for Dinamo Zagreb. However, signing Bono would be possible only if the €50 million release clause in his current contract is activated, and not everyone at Bayern is convinced about Livakovic being a suitable replacement for someone like Neuer.
Another name that was on the table briefly is Keylor Navas. The 36-year-old Costa Rica international is looking to leave Paris Saint-Germain where he’s been a backup for Gianluigi Donnarumma, but as reported by Florian Plettenberg, the Bavarians consider him “too old and too expensive”.
