Bayern Munich are interested in signing out-of-favour Chelsea defender David Luiz, according to the Metro.
The Brazilian international, who is currently side-lined with a knee injury, has featured in just eleven of the Blues twenty-one competitive games this season with Gary Cahill and John Terry proving to be Jose Mourinho’s preferred defensive partnership.
Luiz was linked with a move to Barcelona during the summer, and his future at Stamford Bridge has been thrown into doubt once more with the German and European Champions ready to make a move in an attempt to secure his services.
The 26 year old has thirty-three international caps, and may welcome a move as he looks to be certain of a place in Luiz Felipe Scolari’s World Cup squad in his native Brazil next summer.
The hosts are favourites to win what would be their sixth title next July, and can be backed at a price of 16/5.
