Bayern Munich will begin their quest for a third-straight DFB-Pokal crown against third-tier Preussen Munster in August.
Pep Guardiola’s side succesfully defended the cup with victory over Borussia Dortmund in May and will open their campaign for an 18th Pokal crown against Ralf Loose’s men.
Loose is an ex-Borussia Dortmund player and his former employers will start their Pokal run against 3. Liga outfit Stuttgart Kickers.
The surprise package in the most recent Pokal, Kaiserslautern, begin with a trip to Wehen Wiesbaden of the third tier while fellow semi-finalists Wolfsburg make the trip to SV Darmstadt.
Four-time runners-up Duisburg host 2007 winners and recently-relegated Nuremberg, and Roger Schmidt’s first Pokal campaign with Bayer Leverkusen starts with a trip to amateur side Alemannia Waldalgesheim.
