Bayern duo set for January exit

Bayern Munich midfielders Xherdan Shaqiri and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg are expected to leave Alianz Arena in January, according to Bild.

The Swiss hotshot is desperate to quit the Bavarians in search of first team football and he has now been left on the bench in four successive league fixtures.

Shaqiri has a long list of suitors among top European clubs, although Bayern are holding out for €20 million.

Meanwhile, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is another talented footballer who has expressed his desire to quit the Bavarians, although his situation is slightly different.

Namely, Bayern plan to extend the youngster’s contract until June 2018 and then farm him out on loan to gain much needed first team experience.

Nevertheless, it remains to be seen whether the new Denmark star will be interested in such an arrangement.

The two footballers have started mere five Bundesliga games between them this term, so no wonder they are unhappy with their status under Pep Guardiola.
