Bayern eyeing Timo Werner
Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are hot on the trail of Stuttgart starlet Timo Werner, Sport Bild has revealed.
The Bavarians have been closely monitoring the player’s progress for a while and they even attempted to lure him to Alianz Arena last summer.
And with the youngster showing a great deal of potential during his debut season, Bayern look set to reignite their interest.
Timo Werner signed a new four-year deal in March, with his salary increased to nearly €1 million per campaign, but it is believed Stuttgart would not be able to resist a big money offer for his services.
The 18-year-old has made no less than 30 Bundesliga appearances this term, scoring 4 goals and producing 5 assists for his teammates.
Werner is now being heavily linked with a switch to Bayern Munich, although he would be probably better off staying with the Swabians for at least one more season.
West Ham to sign Congolese midfielder
Le Parisien understands that West Ham have all but agreed to sign Congolese midfielder Prince Oniangue from Reims.
The Hammers have already recruited one quality player as they signed Mauro Zarate from Velez Sarsfield, while Joe Cole left to join Aston Villa.
And West Ham look set to announce the second signing of the summer as Reims star Prince Oniangue has reportedly agreed a switch to Boleyn Ground.
The 25-year-old only joined the Ligue 1 side from Tours last summer but he was in excellent form last season, scoring no less than 10 goals in 35 league outings.
Oniangue has spent his early years at Caen and Rennes and he returned to the top flight via Angers and Tours.
And after enjoying a great debut season with Reims, the holding midfielder seems ready for a new challenge in his career.
French starlet on Stoke radar
Premier League outfit Stoke City are keeping close tabs on Bordeaux attacker Hadi Sacko, according to L’Equipe.
The Potters have been alerted of the youngster’s potential and they are ready to submit an official bid for his services.
Seeing as how the player is only tied to Bordeaux until June 2015, Stoke believe les Girondins will be forced to sell this summer.
Hadi Sacko came through the youth ranks at Stade Chaban-Delmas, and he made a total of nine substitute appearances in Ligue 1 before joining Le Havre on loan back in January.
The 20-year-old managed to show some promise while at Stade Oceane, having managed 4 goals and 3 assists in 18 league outings.
Sacko played for France at the Youth Festival in Toulon last month, scoring two goals in five appearances for the Under-21 side.
