Leggo understands that Bayern Munich are stepping up their efforts to sign Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanic from AS Roma.
New coach Carlo Ancelotti has set his sights on the Serie A star and he reportedly talked to him on the phone, trying to convince him to move to Allianz Arena.
Bayern Munich seem ready to match a €38 million clause in his contract and they only need to persuade the player to join.
Pjanic is believed to be on the radar of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, but the Bavarians were the first side to make their interest concrete.
The 26-year-old quickly developed into a key member of the squad at Stadio Olimpico and he has managed 9 goals and 10 assists in 29 league outings this season.
And with so many top clubs showing interest in his services, it won’t be easy for AS Roma to keep hold of their prized possession.
