Bayern Munich announced on Saturday they sold out of tickets for their Champions League last 16 home match against holders Inter Milan on March 15 just six hours after they went on sale.
The tie will be a re-match of last season’s Champions League final which Inter won 2-0 in Madrid.
Temperatures in Bavaria may be well below zero, but tickets for the second-leg of the re-match at Munich’s Allianz Arena of last May’s final are already red hot.
The first-leg will be held in Milan on February 23.
“All 66,000 tickets have already been sold,” said Bayern’s media director Markus Hoerwick.
Bayern fans were only allowed to buy two tickets per person online when the tickets went on sale on Friday.
