Bayern Munich are interested in signing Max Aarons from Norwich City this summer, according to Sky Sports and their branch in Germany.
The Canaries finished bottom of the table in the Premier League season and have consequently been relegated to the Championship. With several of their players frequently putting in good individual performances, they are widely expected to be heavily targeted by bigger clubs in the currently open transfer window, and Aarons is certainly one of them. The 20-year-old made a total of 40 appearances for Norwich in all competitions in 2019/20.
The Bundesliga champions are on the hunt for a young right-back to act as a deputy for 24-year-old Benjamin Pavard, who suffered a a ligament injury on the left tarsus in training a few days ago and is expected to be out for a while. Coach Hans-Dieter Flick can always revert Joshua Kimmich from midfield to his old position on the right defensive flank, but it seems he would prefer to have another option.
The Bavarians would be willing to pay €20 million to sign Aarons, who has four years left on his contract.
