Bayern Munich are keeping close tabs on Torino’s Matteo Darmian, Sportmediaset can reveal.
With Philipp Lahm making it clear that he preferred playing in the centre of the park, the Bavarians need to sign a right-sided defender to provide competition for Brazilian Rafinha.
They have so far been linked with quite a few high-profile footballers, but Sportmediaset claims that Torino star Matteo Darmian is the latest player on their hit-list.
Having already established himself as a first team regular in the national team, the 25-year-old is almost certain to leave Granata for greener pastures at the end of the season.
And while virtually every Italy’s top side are keen on his signature, Bayern Munich are also in the mix and could come forward with an official bid in the coming months.
The Bavarians have been paired with FC Porto in the Champions League quarter-finals and are now 7/4 favourites to lift the coveted trophy.
