Portuguese media outlet Correio da Manha has learned that Bayern Munich are keeping close tabs on Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho.
The 23-year-old has enjoyed an excellent season with the Lions and was subsequently linked with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United.
And having also impressed playing for Portugal at the Under-21 UEFA Championship, the talented midfielder appears to be on Bayern Munich’s radar as well.
The Bavarians were particularly impressed with the player’s performance in a 5-0 semi-final win over Germany and they see him as a potential reinforcement in the coming years.
But, with Pep Guardiola spoilt for options in the centre of the park at the moment, it is highly unlikely Bayern will be making their interest concrete this summer.
William Carvalho is on the verge of nailing down a regular starting berth in the Portugal national team, having featured in each of the five Euro 2016 qualifiers.
