Bayern keen to secure Kross future

Bayern Munich are preparing to offer Toni Kroos a lucrative new contract in a bid to deter interest from Manchester United, according to the Express.

The midfielder has been a stand out performer in Pep Guardiola’s side, who are looking likely to repeat their treble winning success of last season.

United, who look even more likely to end the season empty handed after falling to a 2-0 defeat in the first leg of their Champions League last sixteen tie with Olympiakos, were themselves ready to offer the 24 year old £250,000 per week though Bayern are working hard to retain his services.

Kroos has made thirty-three appearances in all competitions so far this season, and scored his second goal of the campaign in the 2-0 win over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium last week.

The Bundesliga leaders, who won their first European Cup in twelve years, last May, are 15/8 favourites to emerge victorious in this year’s final at Benfica’s Estadio da Luz.
