German media outlet Die Welt has suggested that Bayern Munich are set to offer a contract to Spanish goalkeeper Victor Valdes.
The highly rated shot-stopper is out of contract after leaving Barcelona in the summer, and has seen a move to Monaco fall through because of injury.
Premier League giants Liverpool are another side believed to be in the race for Valdes’ signature, but Die Welt claims Bayern Munich are interested as well.
Namely, his former coach Pep Guardiola values the player highly and with both Pepe Reina and Tom Starke sidelined through injury, the tactician could offer a short-term deal to Valdes.
The latest reports suggest Bayern officials have already drawn up a contract, with the Spaniard also believed to be keen on a move to Alianz Arena.
Victor Valdes, 32, has enjoyed a great deal of success during the 12 years since being promoted to the first team set up at Camp Nou.
