The highly rated forward is set to leave MHSC at the end of the season as the Ligue 1 side are prepared to listen to offers.
Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Liverpool are being mentioned as possible destinations, but the Bavarians appear to be leading the race.
The German giants have already admitted their interest in the Ligue 1 star and Bild now reveals that Bayern general manager Christian Nerlinger has watched the Frenhcman in action as Montpellier beat Toulouse on Friday.
Giroud currently leads the goalscoring charts in French top flight with 20 goals in 32 league games and he is considered one of the most prolific forwards in European football.
