Bayern Munich host Mainz in the German Bundesliga this weekend, with Pep Guardiola side looking to finish the season on a high. They sealed the title weeks ago, but have endured a slump in form ever since, which crept into their other tournaments – leading to defeats in the DFB-Pokal and Champions League latter stages.

The club will be desperate to perform in front of their own fans, and certainly the manager due to his fledgling reputation following repeated European failures and the decline of his champions in the last few weeks. They could be in for a challenge against Mainz too, as the visitors have won two of their last three games in the Bundesliga, so they may fancy their chances against a misfiring Bayern.
