Bayern Munich, Borrusia Dortmund vying for Freddy Castro

German media are reporting that two of Bundesliga’s biggest sides Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are both looking to sign the 17-year-old Sporting Cristal starlet Freddy Castro.

The Peruvian prodigy has been earning rave reviews in his homeland this season after breaking into the first team of the Lima-based club this season.

Castro has already been dubbed the ‘new Neymar’ by the Peruvian press due to his technical skills and flamboyant style of play. Freddy Castro is a gifted dribbler who is seen as the next big thing in world football and two of Germany’s greatest sides are said to be hot on his heels.

In addition to Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, the Peruvian media reports Atletico Madrid are also casting admiring glances towards the youngster.

Castro only signed his professional contract with Sporting Cristal a week ago and is expected to remain in Peru for the next three years. Should he continue his stellar rise, however, it won’t be too long before a host of European clubs came knocking on the door.
