According to a recent report from Sky Germany, the belief is that Bayern Munich have indeed made contact with Arsene Wenger following the dismissal of Niko Kovac as the club’s manager. At this moment in time it’s not yet known whether or not a concrete offer has been made, with Bayern not wanting to cause any further chaos or disturbances within the club prior to their crunch game against Borussia Dortmund at the weekend.
After the game the negotiation period is set to begin, as Wenger’s return to management continues to look like a very real possibility. Wenger himself admitted that he would be entertaining the idea of a switch to German football, but that he has also been enjoying his break away from management.
Many will consider this to be something of a risk from Bayern if it does indeed go ahead, with Wenger not really leaving the best impression when leaving Arsenal.
