Bayern Munich go after de Jong

According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Bayern Munich could be interested in going after Frenkie de Jong.

The former Ajax star, who is currently with Barcelona, is still viewed by many as one of their most exciting players – and it appears as if the German giants share that sentiment.

The move could be made as soon as the January transfer window and the belief is that it could wind up helping Barcelona with some of the financial troubles they’ve been having as of late. Bayern already have a crazy good squad at their disposal but you can bet they wouldn’t be opposed to adding to their ranks, and someone like de Jong has an unbelievable amount of potential.

While Barca have been viewed as the bigger club out of the two for quite some club, Bayern’s one-sided domination of the Spaniards in the Champions League last season served as a reminder of how things have changed.
