Bavarian behemoths Bayern Munich are said to have identified a Robert Lewandowski replacement.
It may come to a surprise to hear that Bundesliga title holders have set their sights on Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata.
The former Real Madrid striker has hit the ground running at Stamford Bridge at the beginning of the season but has experienced a disturbing dip in form which saw him score just once since Boxing Day.
Chelsea have since then boosted their forward line with Olivier Giroud and Bayern Munich believe that Blues could be tempted in releasing the Spaniard after only one season in London.
The German giants think that Morata could become a valuable member of the team and that he would be a perfect fit in the system at Bayern Munich, Diario AS reports.
Morata is four years younger than Robert Lewandowski and Bayern are confident they could help him get his career back on track.
Timo Werner and Edinson Cavani are also on the list of potential Lewandowski alternatives.
