Bayern Munich are interested in signing Sadio Mane from Liverpool this summer, according to Sky in Germany.
The 30-year-old forward is about to enter the final 12 months of his contract at Anfield, and at the moment, no talks over a new one are ongoing with the Merseysiders apparently giving top priority to persuading Mohamed Salah to recommit.
Liverpool have so far refused to comment on the alleged interest from Bayern and there has been no contact between the two clubs as of yet. The Bavarians are believed to have spoken to Mane’s representatives, but speaking to the press after the Stuttgart draw on Sunday, sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic wouldn’t reveal anything, urging the journalists to allow themselves ‘to be surprised’ if there is a big incoming transfer at the Allianz Arena this summer.
Mane has so far scored 20 goals in 46 appearances in all competitions this term. His role at Liverpool has changed since the arrival of Colombian winger Luis Diaz, with the Senegalese now frequently used as a centre-forward ahead of both Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino.
