Lazio defender Stefan de Vrij looks set to leave Serie A outfit Lazio as the Dutchman already admitted he will not be extending his contract with the Biancocelesti.

De Vrij’s current deal runs down to 2018, but the 24-year-old Dutch international is likely to be on a move as early as during the January transfer market.

According to the Italian media outlet Il Tempo, Lazio could be tempted into selling the defender this winter should a lucrative offer arrive.

Premier League leaders Chelsea have already been linked with a move for the defender, whereas Il Tempo suggests that Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are the last club in line to join the chase for a reliable Dutchman.

Stefan de Vrij spent great part of last season on the sidelines due to a knee injury, but he returned to the fold this season and has already made 11 Serie A starts and scored one goal for Lazio during that time.
