Bundesliga title holders Bayern Munich are keeping a close eye on Genoa forward Krzysztof Piatek who is enjoying a stellar spell in Italy.
The Polish forward only joined Serie A outfit Genoa this summer in a €4.5 million deal from Cracovia but he has done more than enough to outshine some of the league’s most notable strikers.
Piatek bagged six goals in five Serie A matches with his glorious run continuing this week against Chievo.
The in-form Pole has become the first Genoa player to find the net in five consecutive games at the start of any top-flight campaign. Additionally, Piatek scored four goals in Genoa’s Coppa Italia demolition of Lecce which takes his goalscoring tally to double figures already.
No wonder the 23-year-old forward is already attracting plenty of interest from some of Europe’s biggest sides.
As reported by Transfermarkt, Bundesliga heavyweights Bayern Munich have already been alarmed by Piatek’s impressive run, so much that they have sent their emissaries to watch him in action during the week.
Piatek is under contract with Genoa until 2022 but there is no release clause specifically stated in his deal.
