Bundesliga side Schalke have hit out at rumours linking the Germany international midfielder Leon Goretzka with Bayern Munich move, but Sky Sports have fueled the speculation by claiming that Bundesliga champions have today officially opened talks with the highly-rated 22-year-old.
Leon Goretzka is under contract with the Gelsenkirchen side until 2018 and has already been targeted by the Bavarians who consider the young Germany star as a player for the future.
Bundesliga giants are attempting to exploit Goretzka’s contract situation and the fact he is nearing an end of his deal with Schalke to force the summer sale.
Sky Sports have broken the news that Goretzka’s agent has today arrived in Munich and that he is already in Sabener Strasse for negotiations over a possible summer deal.
Regarded as one of the biggest German talents, the Schalke midfielder has been a mainstay for his club this season, making 29 Bundesliga starts.
Goretzka also managed to add eight goals to his name in all competitions this term.
