Bayern Munich have revealed plans for their Allianz Arena home to undergo a significant makeover.
The stadium has been home to Bayern since it was opened in 2005, but the Bundesliga leaders shared the stadium with 1860 Munich until 2017.
With 1860 Munich having relocated to former home Grunwalder Stadion following their relegation to Germany’s third-tier, Bayern now have the 75,000-capacity stadium to themselves.
And Bayern will take advantage by replacing the seats to make the Allianz more personal, with the club’s motto ‘mia san mia’ – which translates as ‘we are who we are’ – to feature prominently.
It’s been a long time coming, but we’ll finally have #FCBayern colors at the #AllianzArena!

The new design will also see the Bayern badge and the club’s name adorn the seats, with the work to be completed at the end of the season.
Bayern will be crowned Bundesliga champions for the sixth season in a row this weekend if they win against rivals Borussia Dortmund and second-placed Schalke fail to beat Freiburg.
