Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are chasing Hoffenheim defender Kevin Vogt, German media outlet Kicker understands.
The 26-year-old is said to have impressed the new Bayern boss Niko Kovac who wants to revamp the backline during the summer. The Croatian tactician is reportedly prepared to reshape the Bayern Munich defence and go from four to three at the back.
Bayern Munich are not expected to be proactive during the summer transfer window but could make a couple of tweaks in order to further strengthen their squad.
And with recent speculation surrounding the future of Jerome Boateng, Kicker claims Niko Kovac is keen to bring Vogt to boost his options in defence and increase competition for places.
Vogt has impressed at Hoffenheim where he amassed 31 Bundesliga appearances this season, registering an assist along the way.
The towering German is under contract until 2020.
