Bayern Munich to sign Saul

According to a recent report from Marca, Bayern Munich have agreed to sign Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez this summer.

The reported fee as of this writing is £68 million with the 26-year-old likely serving as the anchor in Bayern’s midfield moving forward. He’s consistently played an integral role at the heart of Atletico’s operation and while they’d be upset to see him leave, they’d definitely be getting a good return for him as they prepare to defend the La Liga title next season.

Atletico are going to face a real battle to keep hold of their biggest and best stars in the months to come but even if they can’t, they’ve proven themselves more than capable of reinvesting in new, fresh talent.

Bayern, on the other hand, have one of the best squads in world football and adding Saul will just establish that position.

They’re strong, but Saul could help them get to the next level.
