Bayern Munich unhappy with Alaba

According to a recent report from Bild, Bayern Munich aren’t overly pleased with David Alaba’s salary demands as talks continue between the German giants and the defender over a potential new deal.

Alaba has been heavily linked with a move to Premier League contenders Manchester City in recent weeks as Pep Guardiola aims to take advantage of their European ban being overturned.

Bayern have been willing to discuss the possibility of a contract extension, but now, it appears as if things could be dead in the water – or could be close to being that way.

This is the sort of deal that isn’t going to go away overnight, and it’s a virtual certainty that it’ll be dragged out over the course of a few months. Either way, though, City will still be hoping that they can push it through in time for the start of the new Premier League campaign.
