Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman has returned to light training for the first time since suffering a knee ligament injury.
The 27-year-old France international tore the medial collateral ligament in his left knee during a 3-2 Bundesliga victory at Augsburg on January 27, but started running again on Monday morning.
A statement on the club’s official website said: “Kingsley Coman completed a running session on Monday morning for the first time since tearing the medial collateral ligament in his left knee.

“While his team-mates started the week with a day off after the 2-1 home win against RB Leipzig, the winger completed a few laps of the club grounds at Sabener Strasse.
“Coman had been sidelined following his injury in FC Bayern’s Bundesliga match against FC Augsburg at the end of January and has now taken a step towards his comeback.”
There was further good news for head coach Thomas Tuchel as full-backs Noussair Mazraoui and Sacha Boey also returned to the training pitch after hamstring injuries.
The statement continued: “Right on Coman’s heels, right-backs Noussair Mazraoui and Sacha Boey also made an appearance on FC Bayern’s training pitch to complete their first laps after suffering hamstring strains.
“Morocco international Mazraoui picked up the injury in the away game at VfL Bochum, Boey a few days earlier.”
