Competition: Premier League
Market: Guardiola to be next Manchester City manager
Odds: 8/13 @ 888 Sport
With reports suggesting Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola is set to announce he will leave the German side in the summer, preparations are expected to take place between the Spanish coach and suitors Manchester City over Guardiola taking the job for the 2016/17 season.
Current manager Manuel Pellegrini endured a difficult second season with the Sky Blues after having won the title, and can’t seem to get his side firing on a regular basis this campaign either. Unconvincing performances in Europe are also leading the club hierarchy to consider someone with more pedigree in major competitions, and few are on the level of Pep.
This season, his Bayern side are dominating the German Bundesliga, and are on course to successfully defend their crown again. Guardiola most notably made a name for himself at former side Barcelona, winning trophy after trophy with a style of play that took years for opposing teams to crack. His CV excites the Man City board, and the players he could bring to England with him is another pull.
The likes of Diego Simeone (Atletico Madrid), Patrick Vieira (New York City), Carlo Ancelotti and Alejandro Sabella have been linked, but Guardiola is 8/13 with 888 Sport to be the next Manchester City manager.
