Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller has been linked with a move to Manchester United this summer following interest from manager Louis Van Gaal, who blooded the German international into the first-team when he was head coach of Bayern.

While Muller has made no public statement of wanting out of the side, Manchester United aren’t giving up in their pursuit of the consistent goalscorer. He can play anyway across the attacking line, and has netted double figures for goals as well as assists in each of his last three seasons.

The 25-year-old boasts an incredible CV at a young age, and would fit the bill perfectly for Van Gaal’s philosophy. The Dutch coach wants versatile players in the side, and in Muller he will have a highly-industrious forward with a fantastic eye for goal.

Manchester United are reported to have lined up a bid in upwards of €70M for the German international, and Betfair are giving odds of 11/4 for Muller to make the move to Old Trafford ahead of the new season as a result.
