Bayern not as interested in Brandt

According to a recent report from Bild, Bayern Munich have now cooled off on the idea of signing Julian Brandt from Bayer Leverkusen. The basis behind this is due to his consistency, or lack thereof, which he has showcased over the last few weeks. Bayern haven’t been shy when it comes to letting the world know that they want to stay busy during the upcoming summer transfer window, but ‘busy’ doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll just buy players based on name value alone.

This news has supposedly opened the door for Borussia Dortmund to go after the 23 year old German international, with the belief being that they’ve actually already met with Julian’s father. Despite this it still feels like the race is on across a series of top European clubs, with Liverpool also registering their interest recently.

Whatever happens, we can all but guarantee that it’s going to be a busy summer for this young man.
