Bayern only wants top players in the future

Christian Nerlinger, Bayern Munich’s team manager, thinks that his employer should only aim for top players in the future.

Arjen Robben’s decisive part in the win over reigning champions Wolfsburg proved that his move was a good choice of Der Rekordmeister.

`His performance made clear that we need to keep making these big transfers,’ Nerlinger says on Bayern’s official website.

`The signing of Franck Ribery already showed that and Robben proved the same,` the former player of Bayern and Glasgow Rangers continued.

Nerlinger thinks that the German side was very successful on the transfer market and that the squad is ready to compete in the various competitions.

`Bayern now has a squad with a lot of opportunities and alternatives,` the former German international concluded.
