According to a recent report from AS, both Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in submitting bids for Espanyol defender Mario Hermoso. The highly tipped centre back has been linked with a series of different clubs in the last few months, with Arsenal being one of the most prominent. In terms of the current landscape, though, it feels like a parade of teams are going to be registering their interest before any kind of deal is officially done. Hermoso has a buyout clause of £35 million in his contract, and you’d have to imagine Bayern and PSG would have no issues whatsoever in reaching that figure. In the same vein, of course, a number of different clubs also probably wouldn’t have an issue with that figure.
Hermoso’s next move is going to serve as a big step up regardless of where he goes, but that’ll be particularly true if he decides to venture outside of La Liga and into another domestic league.
