Bayern Munich have reached an agreement with Kim Min-jae over the personal terms for a proposed transfer from Napoli, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Bundesliga champions are thus preparing for the imminent departure of Lucas Hernandez, who is on the verge of joining Paris Saint Germain, keen for their squad not to lose depth or quality.
Apparently, the 26-year-old South Korean defender has accepted a proposal of a five-year contract with Bayern, and all that now remains is for the Bavarians to trigger the release clause in his contract with Napoli which kicks in at the start of July; the Serie A champions are reluctant to sell their arguably best centre-back.
Kim was reportedly high on the wish list of Manchester United, who are believed to be looking for an upgrade on Harry Maguire, as well as Newcastle, but he has chosen Germany as his destination despite the interest of the two Premier League clubs.
