Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are preparing a bumper deal for star striker Robert Lewandowski, Bild has suggested.
The 28-year-old has another three years left on his current contract, but the Bavarians want to ensure that he doesn’t even think about leaving.
As a result, they are ready to offer the striker a two-year extension, while making him the highest paying footballer at the club as he would be earning more than €15 million per campaign.
Robert Lewandowski is likely to go down as one of the best signings in club’s history, having arrived on a free transfer from bitter rivals Borussia Dortmund, going on to score 76 goals in 106 competitive appearances.
The highly rated footballer continued where he left off last season, scoring 10 goals in first seven fixtures of the new season.
Lewandowski, however, failed to impress at the Euro 2016 finals, netting just once in five appearances for Poland.
