Jurgen Klinsmann wanted a response of sorts from his players following his team’s defeat at the hands of Werder Bremen on Saturday and, judging from his comments to ESPN, the players gave him just what he was looking for in the team’s cup match against Nurnberg:
“We wanted to make up for the hammering on Saturday because that was really bothering us.
“We have managed it and are delighted to be standing in the next round of the cup.
“We could even have scored one or two goals more.”
Klinsmann has managed to recover after his first defeat as a manager in charge of Bayern Munich and he hopes that his team’s good fortunes will continue they prepare to take on Hannover this weekend.
