Bayern rule out Sane in January

As relayed by Sky Sports, Bayern Munich have completely ruled out the possibility of signing Leroy Sane from Manchester City this month.

The winger, who turns 24 on Saturday, was heavily linked with a move to the Bavarian club over the summer, right until he suffered an ACL injury in the Community Shield triumph over Liverpool in August. When that happened, Bayern’s interest cooled down for a while but fresh speculations arose soon, claiming that much depended on his recovery. The Bundesliga champions later fed the rumours themselves, refusing to rule anything out for a long time.

However, Sane isn’t back in action to this day and he probably won’t be until the transfer window is closed, and that may have been the reason why Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has now ruled out the possibility of the Germany international playing the second half of the season at the Allianz Arena.
