Bayern set aside €85m for Sane

Having spent €118 million on defenders Benjamin Pavard and Lucas Hernandez, Bayern Munich are prepared to spend another €85 million to sign Leroy Sane from Manchester City, according to SportBild.

The 23-year-old winger has been at the top of their wish list for quite some time now, but they were forced to put their advances on hold when he picked up a serious knee injury in the Community Shield clash with Liverpool in August. However, they haven’t given up on adding the Germany international to their group of young, pacy and talented wingers which already includes the likes of Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry.

Sane will enter the last year of his contract at the Etihad next summer, and the Bundesliga champions believe that could work in their favor, as well as the fact that his family is keen on returning to their homeland. But if they don’t get their man, alternative options are Yannick Carrasco of Dalian Yifang and Julian Draxler of Paris Saint-Germain.
