Bayern Munich have joined the race to sign former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes, according to the Daily Star.
The 32 year old Spain international is currently a free agent having left the Nou Camp at the end of last season and has since been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League, with both Arsenal and Liverpool interested in securing his services.
However, Bundesliga champions Bayern have also thrown their hat in the ring, with manager Pep Guardiola keen to be reunited with his the man he had as his first choice shot stopper for his highly successful four seasons in charge at Barca.
Both Barcelona and Bayern Munich secured impressive victories in the Champions League yesterday evening, with the latter thumping Roma 7-1 at the Stadio Olimpico.
The 2013 European Champions are now favourites to win the competition, ahead of holders Real Madrid, at a price of 10/3.
