According to a recent report from Sport Bild, Bayern Munich’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic is refusing to comment on the rumours linking them with a move for Timo Werner. The RB Leipzig striker has been on fire ever since joining the club from Stuttgart in 2016, and at the age of just 22, he still has a lot of room left to grow.
Bayern were said to have agreed on personal terms with the youngster, although no official fee has been confirmed yet between the two parties.
Werner moving to Bayern has always seemed like the natural next step in his progression, especially after breaking into the Germany national team in the last few years.
Bayern are currently going in search of new faces, following a season which has seen them slip down into the role of ‘second best’ in Bundesliga behind Borussia Dortmund.
Werner first made his debut for Germany, at a senior level, in 2017.
