Luca Toni is angry on the sidelines. The Bayern Munich striker has recovered from his Achilles tendon injury but has to watch the Bayern matches from the stands.
`I feel really good again. Just as I did in the first year at Bayern,` Toni told Bild.
`I really suffer when I am sitting in the stands. One sees the chances created and I cannot do anything, I suffer with the team.
For me it is difficult to go into the stadium, if I cannot even play,` he added.
The last few weeks there were some arguments between the striker and his coach at Bayern, Louis van Gaal. The Dutch coach told the press Toni wasn`t fit enough to compete for the first team.
Now, the Italian international remains calm when he talks about his new coach.
`Every coach has his own style, how he trains and how he goes about dealing with players on a personal level. The club has decided on this trainer so he is the one to decide who gets to play and who doesn’t.`
Toni admits he`s concerned about his World Cup place, and says he would reconsider his position at Bayern in January when the transfer window opens.
`I definitely see my World Cup participation as being in danger. I don’t know what will happen in January. Generally, I want to see out my contract until 2011, I want to play for Bayern.
`However, if I feel that people around me on a professional level no longer have confidence in me then I’ll sit down at a table and try to find a solution,` concluded Toni.
