Bayern tell Dante to look for new club

German media outlet Bild has learned that Bayern Munich plan to offload Brazilian defender Dante in the summer transfer window.

The 31-year-old lost his place in the starting line-up last season and with Javi Martinez also back in action, the experienced defender is likely to be restricted to substitute appearances in case he stays.

It is for that reason that Bayern Munich have told Dante he can start looking for a new club, but the problem is the Brazilian is not too keen on leaving.

Despite struggling for playing time, the centre-back has grown accustomed to life in Germany and he hopes to remain until his contract comes to an end in 2017.

Nevertheless, the Brazilian would probably be forced to consider any offers that arrive for his services.

Dante has proved to be a very good signing for Bayern Munich, having gone on to make 85 Bundesliga appearances after arriving in a €4.7 million deal from Borussia M’gladbach.
