German champions Bayern Munich are hot on the trail of Manchester United winger Angel Di Maria, according to Kicker.
With the likes of Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben not getting any younger and both missing the end of the season through injury, the Bavarians are determined to recruit a high-profile wide attacker in the summer transfer window.
And seeing as Wolfsburg do not appear ready to cash in on Kevin De Bruyne, Bayern officials have turned their attention towards Angel Di Maria.
Kicker has learned that the Bavarians technical director Michael Reschke has called his Manchester United counterparts to enquire about the possibility of signing the Argentine footballer.
Di Maria, 27, enjoyed a bright start to his career at Old Trafford, but then saw a major dip in form and ended the season as a back-up to Ashley Young.
The Red Devils could, therefore, consider selling him in the summer transfer window, despite splashing out €75 million on his services just a year ago.
